Your files are not uploaded or stored

CleanStatement converts statements inside your web browser. When you choose a PDF, it is read from your device into the memory of your browser tab, converted there, and the spreadsheet is created there for you to download. The PDF and its contents are never sent to our servers, and we have no database of documents. When you close or reload the tab, the data is gone. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, Network tab, and convert a file. No request carries your document.

What is downloaded to your device

The page loads its own code, plus PDF font maps (for some non-Latin PDFs) from a public CDN (jsdelivr.net). If a page has no text layer (a scan), the OCR engine and language files are downloaded from a public CDN and run on your device. These downloads go one way: to you.

What we do keep

• Free-tier counter: the number of conversions you've done today is stored in your browser's localStorage, not on a server.
• License key: if you activate Pro, your browser sends the key to our payment provider (Gumroad) to check it. The key is remembered in your browser's localStorage and rechecked every few days.
• Hosting logs: our host (Cloudflare Pages) records standard request logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and operations. These never include your documents.

We don't use advertising trackers.

Payments

Purchases are handled by our payment provider, who processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details from them to support your license.

Accuracy

Conversions are automated. Always check totals against your original statement before using them for tax, accounting or lending decisions.
