Chase statement PDF → Excel or CSV

Chase lets you download statements as PDF, but transaction history exports from the website only go back so far. When you need older months, or you were sent the PDF by someone else, CleanStatement reads the PDF itself and gives you a spreadsheet with one row per transaction.

  • Runs in your browser: the statement is never uploaded
  • Running-balance check flags any row that doesn't add up
  • Free for 3 statements a day, no sign-up

What a Chase statement looks like

Chase (JPMorgan Chase) statements usually have these columns. The converter maps them to Date, Description, Money out, Money in, Amount and Balance.

What CleanStatement handles for you

Every release is tested against a synthetic Chase-style statement that copies this layout with made-up data. Real statements vary by account type and year. If yours doesn't convert cleanly, Pro users get priority fixes for their layout.

How to download your Chase statement as a PDF

  1. Sign in at chase.com (desktop is easiest).
  2. Open the account, then find Statements & documents (in the account menu or under "More").
  3. Pick the month and download the statement as a PDF.
  4. Drop the PDF into the converter above and download Excel or CSV.

Menu names change from time to time. If you can't find the option, search for "statements" in your bank's app or website.

Download a synthetic Chase-style sample PDF (made-up data) to see the converter work before you use a real statement.

Chase statement conversion FAQ

Does it work with Chase credit card statements too?

Yes. Card statements list purchases and payments without a running balance; purchases come out as money out and payments or refunds as money in. Because there is no balance to check against, give the totals a quick look against the statement summary.

Chase already offers a CSV download. Why use this?

The activity download on the website covers recent transactions only and its format differs from the statement. If you need the statement itself, older months, or a file someone emailed you, converting the PDF is the reliable route.

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and converted inside your browser. Only the converter code (and, for scanned pages, the OCR engine) is downloaded to your device. Your document is never sent to us.

What does the free plan include?

3 statements per day, up to 5 pages each, with Excel and CSV export and the balance check. Pro ($9/month or $59/year) removes the limits, adds batch conversion into one merged sheet and Chinese OCR.

Converting statements every month?

Pro is $9/month or $59/year: unlimited statements and pages, batch conversion into one merged sheet, and Chinese OCR for scanned statements.

Other supported statement formats

The converter reads the table layout rather than a fixed list of banks, so many other banks work too. Try any statement on the home page.
